| Marches Archaeology has carried
out building surveys of major monuments and vernacular
buildings, often as part of planning requirements.
Accurate surveys are generated by the work and can
usefully contribute to the requirements of architects,
engineers, building contractors and other professionals,
        integrating archaeological considerations into
conservation and repair schemes. Early archaeological
input can lead to significant advances in the
understanding of a building, or complex of buildings, and
can assist in the development of management plans and
detailing of conservation schemes. Survey methodology is determined by the requirements of the client and planners in terms of detail, scale, accuracy and interpretation. Survey may be by instrument, hand-measurement, or photographic means, but is more frequently a combination of these. The site results are processed either within AutoCAD or by traditional inking. | |||
